Meet your Peko Pal
A Peko Pal is a screenless audio companion for children. There is nothing to watch and nothing to scroll. Your child presses buttons, and the Peko Pal answers out loud — with a story, a song, a friend's voice message, or a conversation.
What it does
What a Peko Pal can do depends on which apps you have added to it. Out of the box it can play stories, podcasts, and radio; hold a spoken conversation; record voice memos; send voice messages to approved friends; work as a night light; and run short lessons on a topic you choose.
You control all of that from the Peko Pal app on your phone. Your child controls what happens right now, using the buttons.
Why there is no screen
Two reasons, both deliberate. Audio-only play is calmer and easier to stop than video, and it leaves the imagining to your child. And because every action gets a spoken response, a child who cannot read yet can still navigate the whole device on their own, by ear.
How this guide works
This guide covers the device itself: the buttons, the lights, the battery, and what to do when something looks wrong. Each topic is short and stands alone, so you can read only the one you need.
Your Peko Pal can also read this guide to you. The walkthrough app plays these same topics aloud, in order — useful for a child who wants to explore without being taught, and for anyone who would rather listen than read. You can replay it any time, and you can remove it from the device once you are done with it.
Good to know
Nothing your child says is recorded or sent anywhere unless they are using an app that explicitly does that — a voice message, a recording, or a conversation. Playback apps never open the microphone.
