# New Year Countdown for Any Time of Day

A New Year countdown for kids who are not up at midnight. Pick noon, 9 p.m. or midnight on the plan page, then cross off the numbers from ten down to one and shout Happy New Year. Twelve cut-out activity cards, like writing a wish for a jar, telling a best joke or calling someone far away, give the wait something to do, and a page of big number cards can be colored and held up. Every family picks its own time, and a party at noon counts.
